Hub Wireless Adapter

Plug a USB-C cable into the small Bluetooth module, not the hub's own USB port — on its own, or while it sits in a hub that is switched on(not in a hub that is switched off). The first time, your browser asks you to pick the module's port; after that it is remembered.

PIN protection

With a PIN, a computer is asked for the PIN the first time it connects to the hub. After that it is remembered and connects without asking. Computers without the PIN cannot connect.

Current state: not read yet

Note the PIN down. It can only be read back with the module connected to this page.

Setting or changing the PIN makes the hub forget all paired computers. On each of them, remove the hub from the Bluetooth settings, then connect again and enter the new PIN.
What a PIN does and does not protect against

After three wrong PINs the hub accepts no new computers until you switch its Bluetooth off and on again with the Bluetooth button on the hub. Computers that are already paired keep working. If that happens without you having mistyped, choose a new PIN.

A PIN keeps other people's computers off your hub in a classroom or at a competition. It is not strong protection against a determined attacker, and anyone who can plug a cable into the Bluetooth module can change or remove it.

Removing protection keeps the paired computers. A firmware update keeps the PIN.

Activity log

If the module cannot be reached: unplug it, hold its BOOTbutton, plug it in, and try again. Nothing can be bricked this way.
